Why this Pujan, specifically
Several lamps in one piece — nothing to arrange.
Hand-painted in pink and green.
Sits flat on a table, a sill or the floor of the shrine.
Significance
A stepwell holds its water in tiers, and the diya plate borrows the idea — several lamps held in one piece, lit together so the light sits as a single form rather than as separate points.
One piece to place, rather than several to arrange.
