Why this Pujan, specifically
Lakshmi–Ganesh thali in clay, for the sthapana.
The Diwali Lakshmi Pujan book and a vidhi insert.
Significance
Mahalakshmi Pujan on Deepawali is an invocation of Shri — auspiciousness and abundance — and a prayer for the continued well-being of the household.
This is the shorter form of the same pujan. Everything needed is here; what is left out is the shringar.
How to use
1. Lay the red aasan and place the Lakshmi–Ganesh thali for the sthapana. 2. Light the diyas with the mustard oil 3. Make the offerings and the aarti in the order the vidhi insert sets out.
Good to know
How is this different from Shubh Sampada?
Shubh Sampada adds the solah shringar for Lakshmi and added set of offerings conventionally followed over and above shastra-followed items. This is the pujan on its own.
Do I need to buy diyas separately?
No. The diyas for the pujan are included. For lighting the rest of the house, look at the Deepam sets.
